Runnin' With Tha Devil

I was up until 5 am or so last night trying to work out this Godard paper. I am hot on the trail, but things are crazy right now. My roommate moved out yesterday / i have been job hunting / roommate hunting (might have one) and so on and so forth. I was up at 8.30 to dash outta the house to work at a job for the first time all week. THe rest was spent organizing my life and academic self...and I had as much if not more to do in taht time. NO real hiatus. No vacation. Whatevz. I want to bang out the pages of this tonight so as to have it done done done so I can watch a Fellini film with Apple and CJ. We'll see how I feel and how it goes. I have work to do on the Eisenstein section and more on the Bazin, but I feel like I have to read a bit more to make it happen. I had all these notes written and was ready to write this paper oh a month and a half ago. Alas, alack, taht time has passed, but way leading onto way, I wrote other papers in the interim. Hopefully tonight will be a good one. Hope all enjoy their Friday eves, and I am thinking of you from down home Tennessee.

The Coco

So I spent the better part of yesterday/last night/today sorta hacking the shit outta my French feminism paper. It was in shambles, so I worked it from 5pm to midnight (with scatty breaks) and then from 12am-4am, having changed locales to Cafe Coco, or Cafe Chocolat, if you prefer, the all night oasis. Enoch was on duty, so that was lovely (I am being serious). He has a coiff of hair like Morrissey and sorta the personality to match. Sweet kid. Either way, I have been workin workin workin on this, and it is lo and behold time to hack apart my new edit of it...I want to do this two more times before it is due tomorrow at 3pm. I don't know how successful I will be with the 2 extra edits, but we shall see. It is a 27-28 page beast with the potential to expand a bit more (?) Dammit! I always pick the big projects. But is seems possible again...I was getting nihilistic there last week for a bit (as Flynn and Josh know) and then I bounced back in a major way on Friday after the goodness of funding news. I went to Fido's (yes, another coffee joint) and banged out a bunch of pages as I drank many many cups of coffee. It was good, and I was finally able to put my pen where my mouth is, or something like this. Anyway, back to the ol' grind. Hopefully I can make this all happen in a shorter time than not...

FUNDED-OSITY

I got dough: about 17 grand covering 5 classes next year. I may be a TA of 2 or 1 section depending on enrollment, and if not I am doing research with a professor. Woo. I am not leaving Nashvegas, I am happy to report. I was having thoughts of me in Cali, but that, apparently has been put off for a while at least.

Hope the fishsticks went ok PhiLL.
