The Short
Sorry I've left you hanging. I'm living, but my head has taken a little minute to feel vaguely normal. I am still waiting for the morning that I wake up and my head does not hurt. Here's the skinny: (and I haven't posted it because I'm pretty tired of talking about it and don't like talking about it): I was rear-ended in my nice little marshmallow car (picture Flynn saying marshmallow like he says pillow). It wasn't fun, it wasn't quite tragic, but I ended up with a mild concussion that felt like there was glass separating my synapses and impeding my making connections for a coupla days. No, not very fun. I could give you details, but suffice to say that it wasn't my fault, and I was having a really shitty day before hand, and it just capped it off perfectly. Cream cheese icing even. When I pulled over, and the pizza man who hit me because he was looking down at an address and neglected to notice that I was at a complete stop with my signal on because I was going to make a turn saw me, I was SUPA FLY TNT and the GUNS OF THA NAVARONE. In one fluid motion, I pulled over, stopped the car, turned off the Stone Roses, unbuckled my seat belt and jumped out of my car. At the top of my lungs, "YOU'VE GOT TO BE FUCKING JOKING. THIS IS NOT THE DAY FOR THIS TO HAPPEN TO ME" and I was so pissed that this guy was literally afraid that I was going to hit him. It was quite the badass moment, I have to say. And me waking up with a concussion after attending a party because I was told not to let this accident ruin my night - also badass. Anyway, I'm still dealing with insurancy bullshit. It's a fucking mess.

Saw Yo La Tengo and the Pixies in the same week. Nashville is truly MUSIC HAMLET USA as I like to call it (mocking the MUSIC CITY USA label that people attempt to flaunt). I'll write more on this later, when I'm a bit less bogged down.
Hope all is well with y'all.
