Today was a late starter, or a non-starter, or a try to take a bath but it's cold day which sends a shower and the Unicorns. Then Zeppelin live a really long slow burn version of "Dazed and Confused," and boy am I ever. The song heard me today. Or I heard it for the first time after many a listen, but still I contend, it heard
me. The start late because I'd gotten to bed at 5am, unfortunately (?) not working on a paper that needs more than a lot of work. A walk, a park, and some sassy mallard ducks quack-laughing at me - or was it all in my head. Observations of flora and the sky, the clouds and it's crisp and suddenly I have a half smile, and a half teardrop that never quite forms. My heart it heavy. And then a man approached me out of nowhere -- he thought that I was Veronica. Of course, Veronica. I thought he meant Archie, but that wasn't really the story. And he was lovely and from Kenya and quoted some Oppenheimer poetry and talked about London and France and I knew he was a fire sign, and we had an exchange. Open eyes with the day. Salute.
