Sagittari Up in My Eye, and More StarbucksSo I dressed up for Halloween for the first time in years. There was sort of a big to do about it, as my friend Sarah and I decided to make each other's costumes. I was to construct a Pices costume for her, she a Sagittarius get up for me. I made two blinged out medallions -- one with the 2 fish, all glittery that said Pices, one that had this sort of surreal horse with a couple of extra legs and an arrow that said Sagittarius. I got a hat and affixed glittery scales as well as two sort of googly eyes. Then, I strung fishing line with Swedish fish, and wrapped it around her body. I got to walk around with a horses' head. I was also to have a NERF bow + arrow, but never quite got that far. The party was okay, but conceptualizing the costumes was probably the best part.
On a completely different note, this town has more than its fair share of Starbucks. Many many many Starbucks. I haven't even been to them all, but I can say for sure that I've been to at least 3 that are within a mile or so radius. Within this same area, there is a plan for another Starbucks...this one a drive through on West End (main thoroughfare of Nashville). While on the one hand, a drive through coffee shop is an ingenious idea, I have to ask myself, "Does this town really need
another Starbucks?!"
