The GreatestI was having a particularly crap day when the album dropped, so I went to my favorite record shop, and told one of my friends who works there what my plans were for it. I was going to get into my bed and listen to the new Cat Power. He sort of chuckled at me for it, and I had to inform him that, no, I wasn't even remotely kidding. And so after a nice group hug at the store (and me being cagey to them about just what I was down about after all), I went on home and got into my bed, and listened to Cat Power. I know it's an amazing album, but I need to devote more waking hours to its consumption.
Off to the rec to go swimming.
